Cell Death-Inducing DFFA-Like Effector C (Cell death activator CIDE-3, Fat-specific protein FSP27 homolog, CIDEC, FSP27)

Cell death activator CIDE-3 regulates enlargement of lipid droplets. It is expressed mainly in adipocytes, intestine, heart, stomach, and weakly in brain, kidney and liver. Its overexpression in preadipocytes induces apoptosis.
