Focusing on the latest trends and technologies in laboratory diagnostics.
BioVendor Group Academy is an umbrella educational initiative designed to strengthen our role in education, innovation, and quality assurance.
Why BioVendor Group Academy?
Education, knowledge, and know-how sharing are key pillars of BioVendor Group. That is why a new platform was created to connect students, professionals, institutions, and partners with the latest advancements in biotechnology and laboratory diagnostics.
Education is nothing new for us
Educational activities have long been a natural part of our focus on innovation and professional development. The establishment of BioVendor Group Academy brings these efforts into sharper focus, giving them a clear structure and stronger identity. It is aimed not only at the academic community, but also at professionals in the field who wish to develop their expertise in laboratory diagnostics.
We offer:
- Workshops and seminars (e.g. Expert seminar: Precision medicine and NGS)
- Educational videos and video tutorials (e.g. tutorial for GENOVESA software)
- Webinars with experts, sharing the latest knowledge and trends in laboratory diagnostics (e.g. webinar on Lyme disease and antibody interpretation)
- Support for scientific projects and innovations that help bring research into practice
- Collaboration with universities through industrial Ph.D. programs and scientific research
- Excursions for primary and secondary school pupils, providing insights into biotechnology and diagnostics
Martina Hložánková, Director of BioVendor R&D, commented:
“Our vision is a modern, dynamic platform that reflects current trends and responds to market needs. But our focus is not limited to educating students — we also aim to actively support professionals in the field.”
BioVendor Group Academy fosters long-term cooperation with universities, research institutions, and industrial partners, working together to push the boundaries of the field. The goal of this new initiative is to build on our existing educational activities, expand them, and bring them into a coherent framework.
Future scientists in practice
We collaborate with institutions such as Masaryk University, Mendel University, Brno University of Technology, and CEITEC. Young scientists are supported through Ph.D. programs, internships, and mentoring. Thanks to BioVendor Group Academy, students have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with state-of-the-art technologies and prepare for careers in the biotech industry.
For example, students from Masaryk University, under the guidance of our experts, have participated in research into Alzheimer's disease or the development of CLIA and NGS technologies. This model of collaboration between academia and industry was recognised by the Czech Ministry of Science, Research and Innovation as an example of effective cooperation.
In recognition of our long-term, high-quality cooperation on scientific projects and our efforts to connect the students with practice through the BioVendor Group Academy, we were honoured with an award of the Faculty of Science of Masaryk University.

Excursions for schools
As part of our activities, we offer excursions for primary and secondary school students. These visits introduce young learners to the world of biotechnology and laboratory diagnostics. They also form part of our support for STEM education and help students explore modern laboratory environments.
Pioneers in innovation and education
Veronika Seidlová, CEO of BioVendor MDx, adds:
“Our innovative products bring not only technological progress but also a responsibility to educate our customers and partners. We believe that only through deep understanding can laboratories fully leverage the potential of modern diagnostic methods.”
This is why BioVendor Group places a strong emphasis on education in key areas such as laboratory automation and personalised medicine. The rapid development of these technologies brings new challenges, such as the growing need to educate professionals in bioinformatics — a topic we also address in our seminars.
Education and innovation go hand in hand, and we are ready to support the professional community on this path.
